Saturday March 3^rd 2007, 7.00 for 7.30 pm in Barkham village hall. Tickets £6.50, children £4.This event is being held a little earlier in the year this time, to fill a rather flat time before the rush of holidays. All ages are welcome to come along; the last needle contest for the knock out round was won by a small and very determined girl of nine! Supper will be included; there will be the excellent bar and a raffle. Bring a team or come on your own and have a go at winning the shield.

Sunday April 8th, 2007, 3.00pm at The Junipers play area, Elizabeth Park. Entry of 50p per child entitles them to search for “egg” tokens that have been hidden around the park. These can then be exchanged for chocolate mini eggs. There will also be the annual Great Golden Egg Raffle, a chance for even more chocolate to eat. Almost lucky with the weather last time, with the rain managing to hold off until the last few minutes, we will endeavour to speak to the powers that be to provide a little sun and warmth to stand in while we finish the raffle and have a bit of a social chat afterwards. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one hundred odd people disappear from the park so fast as they did last Easter! Perhaps we all ought to bring umbrellas next time.
