Edneys Hill Planning Application

‍We have been notified that the proposed development of 40 houses off 368 Barkham Road by Bewley Homes, is now up on the Wokingham Council site for comment:

https://planning.wokingham.gov.uk/FastWebPL/detail.asp?AltRef=223037&ApplicationNumber=&AddressPrefix=Edneys+Hill&Postcode=&KeywordSearch=&Submit=Search

This is a major new development between Barkham Road and Edneys Hill which will have an adverse impact on several aspects of village life.

There are potentially several grounds you may wish to raise when commenting, including:

  • lack of investment in infrastructure over the years (e.g. doctors surgery, school),
  • ever busier roads and increased pollution,
  • limited public transport service from Barkham will further increase the number of car journeys,
  • impact on wildlife,
  • further loss of green space in Barkham,
  • increased risk of water runoff and flooding and
  • a development as large as this will change the character of the village.

YOU HAVE UNTIL NOV 10TH TO COMMENT ON THE PROPOSAL.

A Facebook page (independent of BVRA) has also set up:  “Save our Edneys Hill, Barkham” https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100086712882525

Kind Regards

BVRA
