Planning Application For
26 homes on Barkham Ride

An outline planning application 230971 has been submitted to demolish 31 Barkham Ride and replace it with 26 homes. This site is adjacent to the existing park homes site and Rooks Nest country park. The site is in Finchampstead but directly adjacent to the border with Barkham.

It is in addition to application 223528 (proposal to replace 33 Barkham Ride with 69 homes). This application was submitted in 2022 and is still awaiting a decision by WBC.

Both applications will impact Barkham residents. The number of homes raises concerns over increased traffic levels on Barkham Ride / Barkham Street - a narrow road that already struggles with existing levels.
