The land behind the Leathern Bottel Barkham Road (west of Limmerhill Road).
We reported earlier that this outline application (232621) for 60 houses had been refused by Wokingham Council. The reasons for the refusal are set out in the decision noticeÂ
https://publicaccess.wokingham.gov.uk/PublicAccess_LIVE/Document/ViewDocument?id=1C071B71EBEE4FDA9A5C8DBBE515938C
The applicants have now appealed the decision and representations can be made up to the 9th May, 2025. That said, representations that were made to the original planning application will be considered by the appeal Inspector.
Please see the attacehd document for details on how to submit further comments
Whilst “means of Access” are to be considered – the proposed access does seem to be very questionable – linking in the pub’s parking and being sited on a potentially dangerous curve in Barkham Road. Moreover the access will not be that far away from access point on Barkham Road to the large proposed Evendons Lane/Blagrove Lane development where the appeal has been heard and a decision is awaited.Â
Kind Regards
