Proposed Development On Land To The North of Edneys Hill Behind Barkham Road

Bewley Homes are planning to submit a full planning application for the residential development of this land with 49 dwellings.

You will recollect that Bewley made an outline application, back in 2022, for 40 houses on the land: this was refused by Wokingham Borough – and that refusal was not appealed. That application was very strongly and widely, opposed by local residents.

The proposed access is from 368 Barkham Road which would be demolished – the same access that was proposed in the 2022 application.

A copy of the Bewley leaflet is attached.

Of course since the 2022 application was refused – planning consent has of course been granted, on appeal, for the large residential development at Blagrove Land and Evendons Lane.

By all means send in a letter of objection (by Friday 26th September) but at this stage we recommend that you do not give any reasons – and leave those to support an objection after a planning application has actually been submitted to Wokingham Borough Council.

Kind Regards
