Limmerhill (behind the Leathern Bottel)
You may recall, back on 22nd April last year we reported, in an Alert, that the refusal of a planning application (232621) for 60 houses was going to appeal.
We have now heard that the appeal will be held by public enquiry at the Borough Council’s offices starting at 10am on Tues 17th February running to the 20th February.
We commented at the time –
Whilst “means of Access” are to be considered – the proposed access does seem to be very questionable – linking in the pub’s parking and being sited on a potentially dangerous curve in Barkham Road. Moreover the access will not be that far away from access point on Barkham Road to the large proposed Evendons Lane/Blagrove Lane development where the appeal has been heard and a decision is awaited.Â
Well, the Evendons/Blagrove appeal was heard – and that development has, unfortunately, been granted planning consent.
The reasons given for the Borough’s refusal to grant consent for the Limmerhill development can be seen - Â

Barkham Parish Council
You may have heard that Wokingham Borough Council were re-considering the parish boundaries. However we now understand that no significant changes are likely. However there are suggestions that the Parish will be re-named.
Solar Farm
BVRA recently received an email (attached) from the Borough’s Development and Planning Manager to advise on the uncertainty of just when construction of this project will begin – perhaps not until 2031/5
