Correction to previous alert regarding the inquiry into appeal by Dean Thomson in The Coombes
Apologies, but due to some confusion with advice from WBC, we need to correct what we stated in the previous (25 November) alert on this topic which can be found here https://www.barkham.org.uk/index.php/component/acymailing/listid-7-development-watch-alerts-2018-07/mailid-167-bvra-development-watch-alert-confirmation-of-inquiry-into-appeal-by-dean-thomson-in-the-coombes.
As we said, there are 3 conjoined enforcements/applications which will be be considered by the Planning Inspector in a single inquiry. We said that comments/objections previously posted by concerned residents to the WBC site would not be forwarded to the inspector. However this is only true for the 2 enforcement cases. Previous objections to the fence (a planning application, not an enforcement notice) will be forwarded so there is no need to re-post those to the Planning Inspectorate site. As stated previously, we expect this to be a "test case" for other potential Coombes appeals so it is important that as may residents as possible register their concerns to avoid it setting a precedent.
Full details are in the previous alert but as a reminder the 3 conjoined cases to be considered by the inspector are:
APP/X0360/C/19/3229306 (Ditch Culvert), WBC Appeal A, enforcement, WBC reference 192111
APP/X0360/C/19/3234843 (Building), WBC Appeal B, enforcement, reference WBC 191383
APP/X0360/W/19/3229870 (Fence), WBC Appeal C, planning application, WBC reference 190661
The lead case is APP/X0360/C/19/3229306, the culvert, with the other 2 linking to it
Another fence application is coming!
Separate to the appeal case above, another plot owner is The Coombes is making an application to build a close boarded fence around his plot. This has appeared on the map view on the WBC planning site but not as an application which can be commented on as yet. We will advise when we see it appear as an application or residents can let us know if you notice it before us. Details as below:
