The BVRA has provided regular updates on the development threat to The Coombes. Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) had previously issued sn injunction against one of the new site owners (see earlier DevWatch alerts) and this mail is to inform residents that WBC has posted an update on its website as follows:
Update April 12
The Council attended the High Court on 3 April 2019 to defend a challenge against the injunction order. Mr and Mrs Jules dropped their challenge to the order and appealed for more time to vacate the site. Judge Goose allowed them a further 4 weeks in which to remain on the site until 4pm on 1 May 2019 due to the effect on the children. The Council also received a further £1000 in costs (to add to those ordered from the two previous hearings for which we await a judgement).
