Barkham Village Store
Since the closure of Bearwood Road by Thames Water the trade at your village store and post office has dropped by 70%. The road closure is scheduled to be in place until Steptember.

Raj and Ashu provide a valuable service to our community and it is something we wouldn't want to loose.
WE CAN ALL HELP - instead of popping into town to get a few items, use the store. If everybody visited once or twice a week it could make a real difference

Easter Egg Hunt April 2026
Another very popular Easter Egg hunt attended by local residents with 48 children taking part
BVRA 2026 AGM
The 38th Barkham Village Residents Association (BVRA) Annual General Meeting was held on 15th January 2026 in the Barkham Village Hall.
The agenda and draft minutes together with the officer reports and accounts have now been published. Also the 2024 minutes have been updated to reflect them being approved and signed. Please note that due to the change of the BVRA's financial year no AGM was held in 2025.
Thames Water Project Upgrading Water Main In Barkham
Thames Water is undertaking a major project to upgrade the water main from Bearwood Road at the junction with Highlands Avenue to Arborfield Studios on Langley Common Road. The project will start in February 2026 and is due to take 20 months to complete. During this time there will be a series of road closures, although access will be maintained to properties on the closed roads.
Carols In The Park 2025
This year's carols concert again proved very popular with residents. Our thanks go to Breakaway Brass for the excellent music. The bucket collection will be donated to Breakaway Brass.

Quiz Night October 2025
Another sold out quiz night enjoyed by Barkham residents.
After an exciting couple of hours hard quizzing the coveted winner’s shield went to Schools Out,
The winning team, (Simon and Louise, Steve and Kay, and Mike and Ruth.) with their their trophy
Having also won last year, albeit with a different team name mabe we need a handicaping system for next year!
Purchase of the Coombes
Barkham and Arborfield Parish Councils are pleased to announce they have completed the purchase of land in the Coombes. Their press release is attached.
The BVRA would like to congratulate them and ensuring residents have ongoing access to a beautiful part of our village.
